Dr. Buffy has an incredible passion for and experience in infection prevention and control, particularly when it comes to residents and staff in long-term care facilities. Frequently tapped to contribute to industry publications like Healthcare Hygiene and McKnights, she was giving up her weekends to write articles for them.
It wasn’t sustainable—she was running a full-time business and taking care of her family. But she didn’t want to give up the opportunity to educate people about how to solve the problems in the industry. So, she turned to us to help her get it all done.
Our Solution
Dr. Buffy had all the elements she needed to succeed. Already a thought leader, she had a wealth of knowledge and experience about a myriad of topics in her field. Plus, she had a strong voice and knew exactly who she wanted to reach and what she wanted to say. The only thing that was missing was time: time to draft the articles, review them, and edit them. That’s where we came in.
Through regular Zoom calls, we captured Buffy’s knowledge and turned her words into articles that brought her expertise to life. Through our collaborative process, we made sure that every article fit both the individual outlet’s requirements and her voice, tone, and message.

No time to write.
Like so many of our clients, Dr. Buffy’s time was at a premium. A published author of both an international bestselling book and numerous articles, she knew how to write well. She just didn’t have the bandwidth for it.

Dr. Buffy has a unique voice—approachable, understandable, and expert. She needed each article to sound like her. Otherwise, the amount of time she would have to spend fixing the writing would mean the collaboration wasn’t worth it.

Infection prevention and control in long-term care facilities is a highly regulated but rapidly changing industry, with new requirements coming out all the time. Dr. Buffy needed someone who could research independently to educate themselves about the topics she covered, so she could focus on conveying the substance of the articles (not explaining every little change and definition).
